After shaving, it is necessary to apply an aftershave balm or alum block to the skin to aid the recovery process. An alcohol free aftershave balms is vital to soothe, condition and moisturise the skin whilst also replacing oils and nourishment lost during the shaving process. Alum blocks and styptic pencils are vessel constricting products and will stop any bleeding from minor nicks and cuts. An alum block also has antiseptic properties to refresh the skin and limit any redness or razor burn. |
